ONCE IN A
LIFETIME
IS COMING

APRIL 8 2024
We're getting ready for the Total Solar Eclipse
The 2024 Solar Eclipse Committee predicts Corsicana will be a spectacular location to view this once in a lifetime event for thousands of people who will travel to Texas to witness it. The goal of the Solar Eclipse Committee is to provide information on viewing locations, events, services and accommodations for all who attend.

THE
HISTORY
A total solar eclipse occurs when the Moon, in its orbit around the Earth, crosses and covers the face of the Sun completely for a short period of time. Due to the motion of the Moon and rotation of the Earth, the Moon’s shadow tracks quickly across the Earth’s surface over the course of a few hours.
